  • I was pretty impressed by this little guy. The only problem is that it doesn’t have automatic turn off and it can get pretty hot if you leave it on. But the coffee tastes good-it’s easy to use and it’s small. I like it!

  • I didn’t think I’d miss the pause-n-serve, but I do. I like the permanent filter basket, it lets more coffee solids through for a more flavorful cup. But just when you think it’s safe to pour, it dribbles. There are also two holes in the back just above the 5-cup waterline. If you fill it and move it back under the cabinet, you may splash some water through these holes. The unit does not shut off automatically either. I do like the way the basket lifts entirely out of the unit. Do yourself a favor, spend an extra 5 bucks and get a different model.

I have put up with this wretched coffee maker for over a year, but today I have finally had enough. The ONLY redeeming thing about this coffee maker is the carafe size. The 5-cup carafe is hard to find and was the reason I bought it, and it’s the only reason I have put up with it for this long. I am the only coffee drinker in my family so the size was just right. However, after a year of trying, I still cannot for the life of me, pour a cup of coffee from this thing with out dribbling it all over the counter. Pour fast, pour slow, change the angle of trajectory… it does not matter, it drips EVERY FREAKING TIME! Here’s what else I hate about this thing. It has no “sneak-a-cup” feature (silly me… I thought this feature was standard on all coffee makers — wrong.) This means I either have to wait for the full five cups of coffee to brew (which on some mornings feels like FOREVER) before I can pour a cup, or do a lightning fast swap of carafe with mug so that the coffee doesn’t drip onto the hot plate creating that sizzling burnt coffee smell, let it drip directly into the cup and then do a lightning fast swap back). The little skinny window on the water reservoir is hard to see, especially once condensation starts building up on it. The buttons are so tiny and flat that they are more like braille. “I think I pushed the right one… Or did I?… I don’t know… Is the light on?” Do yourself a favor and pass on this one. It isn’t worth the frustration.

Every feature is cool except the permanent filter. There is still some ground coffee pass through it.

  • This coffee maker works just fine. The coffee brews quite fast, but still has good flavor. The gold reusable filter does a better job of filtering than paper filters. All in all, I’m happy with this purchase.
