We have had one of these coffee makers for several months. It makes great coffee and is highly rated by Consumer Reports. The only disadvantages are that it is quite noisy while brewing and the window in the water tank is almost impossible to see through. We have to measure the water in the carafe to fill the tank. Coffee makers only seem to last a couple years these days, no matter what you pay for them, so why buy and expensive one when this one makes just as good coffee?

This unit makes a fine cup of coffee, but it is extremely difficult to pour without spilling. This has to be a design flaw. I have never owned a coffee pot where I had to pour a cup over the sink because the pot drips all over the floor (and I am not talking about two or three drops…it is enough to require a towel and make you mad).

I’ve had this coffeemaker for less than 2 months, and it died without warning this morning. Since this is the 2nd Black & Decker coffeemaker I’ve had to replace in the past year, I won’t waste money on another one.

It is a nice coffee maker, a bit bulky, but I picked it up for $17 @ walmart so the price was right.
The reason I only gave it 4 stars is I had to change where it is located in my kitchen since the power cord is so short.

Though the design is a bit bulkier than I’d like, this is a great coffeemaker. Definitely makes more than enough coffee and the automated features are quite handy. Great value for the price.
