The machine itself is great! We have tried all the coffee they offer…..Gevelia, Nabob, Maxwellhouse, Seattle blends, Starbucks,etc..and they are ALL JUST TERRIBLE! I have served the “reg coffee” to several friends and all but one (who is just too polite to complain) dumped it out after 2-3 sips. The cappuccino is “just drinkable” and Tassimo replaced all the coffee we didn’t like with cappucinno at no charge, so I would give 5 stars for the machine and another 5 stars for customer service, but minus 5 for coffee quality.

I am still using the Tassimo until I use up all the cappucinno, but had to take the Bunn out of storage in order to have a good cup of morning coffee. Once the cappucinno is used up, the brewer will be tossed as I can’t find a friend who will take it off my hands….Not even for free:(

I purchased this item at a local store on Nov 9. We were so excited to own it. I purchased it especially for hot chocolate for my husband. Their hot chocolate seemed to have the best reviews from among the single serve brewers. We followed all instructions and loved the hot chocolate, convenience, easy clean up, speed, etc. Then, about a week later, I went to refill the water reservoir and there were insects in it–small white worms/maggots and flies. Of course I immediately stopped using the machine and called the company. We suspected the water filter. I was told to remove and dispose of the filter, clean out the machine and use a new filter. I did as directed and had the same problem again several days later. There were no signs anywhere else in my home of insects like this. I tested my home water, my refrigerator filter, etc. No insects. I called Tassimo and they told me to return the machine to the local store for a replacement. I did so. The exact same thing happened. I called again and indicated that I did not want another machine from this store, as I was concerned that there was a problem with that batch/lot of machines. They told me they would send me a machine. This time they wanted to pick up the infested machine (which I bagged up) so they could investigate the problem. I was told it would take at most 2 weeks. It’s over 6 weeks later and still no machine. Despite many phone calls, no one knows where the machine is or what the issue is. They’re not even certain one has been ordered, as they are having customer service issues with Bosch. I don’t have a machine. I don’t have my money back. I have lots of tassimo cartridges, but no way to use them. I am disgusted with this company and this product. Consider how you would feel if you knew you had given your child hot chocolate made from water that had floating maggots in it. They are now trying to return the money I spent on the machine. I will believe it when I see it. I plan to find another brand and try again. Otherwise, the hot chocolate was good and the machine was great, if you don’t mind bugs in your drinks.

  • My husband and I loved our little Melita Pod Coffee maker. We could get a fresh brewed cup of coffee at anytime regardless of our ever changing schedules. When it finally gave out after 3 years we bought this Tassimo thinking it was a step up. The machine works great, it’s the pods that are the problem. You can only use Tassimo discs (pods) in this machine. They are disposable plastic containers that should really be recycled and they are expensive in comparison. I tried to clean the coffee from the disc so it could be recycled, but it was messy and time consuming. The real deal breaker was the coffee it brewed. Everything we tried tasted like burnt plastic. We spent a lot of money trying each brand to see if it made a difference…but to no avail.
