Coffeeduck PERMANENT Refillable Coffee Filter for the Senseo EXCEPT HD7820 & 7832

The service on the coffee duck was great…just like the photo and fast arrival. But the duck itself was a bit messy and the results were not identical to the coffee pods Senseo produces.
Thanks for a quick shipment, anyway.

tried filling it with coarse ground, fine ground, filling it 1/4 full, 1/2 full, full, and even empty(!). it leaks all the time. the resulting cup obviously varies depending on fill level of the ground coffee, but there is never any crema. it is way clumsier than the pods, anyone that thinks it isn’t is crazy, maybe i’m a klutz but i always spill ground coffee when i try to fill it.
i think i got ripped off, buyer beware.

Just received my Coffeeduck, and used it this morning … LOVE IT! It’s sooo simple and clean up is cake! I was concerned having to buy Senseo pods would burn a hole in my pocket since I am a caffeine addict, but now I can have my Starbucks brews at home and save money at the same time! Don’t get me wrong, I love Senseo’s Vienna brew … but I gotta have my Starbucks too.
I would highly recommend this item to others … in fact … I’ve already told all my girlfriends w/ Senseo’s about it. Enjoy!

I was expecting a high-quality item based on professional and consumer reviews, but was unfortunately let-down when I tried to make my first cup with it.
First, when ‘properly’ seated in the senseo machine, you have to apply a lot of extra pressure to close and lock it–enough pressure that I was nervous about damaging my machine from one use, let alone repeated daily use.
Second, the handle or duck-bill, fell off!!! The reason being that the thin aluminum ‘cup’ is crimped to hold it–which does a very poor job, well actually it doesn’t do the job at all.
Third, the coffee came out EXTREMELY weak. The reason being that you really have to use the finest grounds possible for it to work very well, and standard ‘ground coffee’ just won’t cut it. The senseo works by pressure rather than drip, so the more surface area you can provide, the better chance you have of getting a good cup…easier said than done, and how much time do I really want to spend grinding and re-grinding my coffee, just to make a cup that questionably damages my machine.
Sorry ducky, you sit in pieces in my cabinet, relegated only to be used if we get whole beans as a gift.
Save your money and try one of the competitors…or better yet, just buy the senseo pods–you can get pretty good deals here on amazon or on sale at your grocery store.

I bought it from oversea.
Because of I’m not satisfied original senseo (I feel littile bit plastic-like taste) and looking forward to use this item.
However, from the first trial, terrible leakage of hot water soaked our table. In addition, the coffee is too weak.
We checked the coffeeduck structure compare with original filters, and found the “banker” of the duck (silver part surrounding beans pod) is rather thinner than the originals one. It seems like that a gasket packing of the senseo top couldn’t make enough seals for keeping pressure.
Our solution is put our hands with force from the top of the closed senseo.
Thus, the leakage was stopped and rather stronger coffee we got.
Of cause we needs to optimize the condition, but little bit disappointed for less-accurate third-party’s cleverly conceived parts. So I should put it three stars. I hope next version will be more accurated.
